Greenwood Center is a Medicare and MaineCare certified facility that has been providing quality nursing care in Maine for over 30 years. We presently provide skilled nursing care as well as long term care. Our 24 hour professional nursing staff is both caring and supportive of the needs of the elderly.
The Social Services department is staffed with two full time social workers, who can assist residents and their families with social, spiritual and emotional needs at Greenwood Center and in the community.
For residents in need of rehabilitation, we provide services such as Physical, Occupational and Speech therapy.
We also provide hospice care for residents with life-limiting illnesses. Family and friends are encouraged to participate in providing care and emotional support during the end-of-life process.
In addition Greenwood Center offers respite care services to give temporary relief to families taking care of their loved ones at home.
These services are all commplemented by the big part of the daily life that the community brings to Greenwood Center by providing such things as church services, musical programs, elderly exercise classes and educational programs.
Volunteers from the community are encouraged to join our activities team and bring their interest and expertise to share with our residents.
